Several studies carried out in the past two months to understand the nature of the omicron reveal that the variant is comparatively milder than Delta, but the rate of transmission is higher. As far as the symptoms of the two variants go, runny nose, headache, fatigue, sore throat are four fairly common signs in both. Chills and fever are occasional.
When infected with the Delta variant of COVID-19, sneezing and loss of smell and taste can also be witnessed. But in Omicron sneezing is common and loss of smell and taste is rare. Persistent cold is also typical in Delta, but not in Omicron.
